“For God so LOVED the world that he GAVE his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
*There is no greater LOVE than this.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is GIVEN, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
*There is no greater GIFT than Jesus.
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is LOVE, not that we have loved God but that he LOVED US and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (I John 4: 9,10)
*Praying your Christmas is built around this kind of love today.
“By this [love] we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has GIVEN us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the SAVIOR of the world.” (1 John 4:13,14)
*Today is a day to celebrate the gift of Christ as we gather with friends and family. While you’re giving and receiving gifts this Christmas, remember the Giver of all things and consider why we give in the first place.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:36-39)
*May you love and be loved extravagantly today in Jesus name!!
